Einherjar Rules Thread

Event Times:

Wednesday and Saturday, Gather @ 11:00pm ET, Enter @ ~12:00am ET.

NOTE: Wednesday runs are considered optional, and as such provide no points. They are for attaining feathers, ampoules, and possibly an abjuration.

Leaders:

Keeva, Invader, Jawat, Linkhighlander

Bank:

All non-abjuration drops will be lotted/sold by the bank to fund runs and possibly provide food/meds.
If the bank is less than 180,000 gil, the difference will be split evenly by the members participating in the run.
Each member pays their party leader, who in turn pays the Lamp Holder.

The bank is currently being held by Invader.

Attendance:

In order to be counted for attendance, one must have their linkpearl equipped AND be headed to Nashmau/Hazhalm during gather time.
(i.e. Anyone who forgets their linkpearl, or has their linkpearl equipped while AFK'ing/camping/farming will NOT be counted for attendance).

Should a run be full (i.e. 36+ members in attendance), the extra members will still be counted for attendance, PROVIDED they have their linkpearl equipped and are on the way to Nashmau/Hazhalm.

If you cannot make a run for whatever reason, please post why you will not be able to attend (e.g. sickness, family outting, etc.) in the Absence Thread.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!
Failure to post in the Absence Thread when you are unable to attend will have consequences:
Doing so twice in a row will result in being flagged as "Unknown Status" on the roster.
Members who are flagged as "Unknown Status" will, upon their return, be required to give up their spot in the alliances to any "Active" member who may have arrived during gather time after the 36 person max has been reached.
If a member flagged as "Unknown Status" is required to give up their spot in this way, they will still be counted for attendance for that run.
After three attended runs, "Unknown Status" is removed and the member is considered "Active" again.

Doing so five times in a row will result in being flagged as "Dead Status".
Members who are flagged as "Dead Status" will be expected to provide a reason for their lack of communication upon return.
This reason will be evaluated by the leadership, who will then either

Allow the member to return as "Unknown Status".
Allow the member to return in X runs as "Active", the number of runs to be determined according to the reason provided.
Break the members linkpearl.

If you think you might be late, you may /tell a leader explaining your situation.
Reasonable situations will be met with reasonable responses from the leadership.

Points/Drops:

Drops will be handled by a hybrid system of points and tiers (a.k.a. "Aspiration Tiers").
"Points" are accumulated by attending Saturday runs; each attended Saturday run yields one (1) point.
"Aspiration Tiers" start at one (1), and increment by one each time a member attains an item by any means other than Free Lot or Free Lot No Restriction.

Members are required to post a single "Aspiration" item in their Member Thread that they have not already attained (i.e. you may not declare the same Abjuration twice, if you already got one and now want the HQ version).
In order to post an item as an "Aspiration" item, it must be equippable at the time the Aspiration is declared, no exceptions.
If you wish to change your current "Aspiration" item, you may do so by Replying to your Member Thread with the desired change. This change will not take effect until AFTER THE NEXT RUN.

When a member attains that item, they will be required to

Post their next "Aspiration" item below the previous one in their Member Thread, and
Reply to their member thread stating their intent to declare their next "Aspiration" item.

When an item drops, the member who lots on the item:

Has attended two (2) of the last four (4) Saturday runs.
Of the members to which 1) applies, has the item listed as their "Aspiration".
Of the members to which 2) applies, is in the lowest Aspiration Tier.
Of the members to which 3) applies, has the highest points.

When an item is attained by a member, that item's point value is deducted from their point total, unless the item has been won as a Free Lot No Restriction item.

In the event that an item drops which NO ONE has listed as their "Aspiration" item, it will be called in the linkshell as FL (Free Lot) item, for the cost of five (5) points. Note that to lot on a FL item, one must still be able to equip it.
If someone lots on the FL item and wins it, they will remain on the same Aspiration Tier, but will have five (5) points subtracted from their point total.
If NO ONE lots on the FL item, it will be called in the linkshell as FLNR (Free Lot No Restriction). This means that ANYONE may lot on the item, regardless of the required level to equip, for zero (0) points.
If someone lots on the FLNR item and wins it, they will remain on the same Aspiration Tier AND retain the same number of points as before.

Since this is somewhat complex, these examples highlight the core mechanics of this system.

Example #1:

Person A has 8 points, M. Legs listed as their Aspiration and are on Aspiration Tier 1 (their first item).
Person B has 35 points, M. Legs listed as their Aspiration and are on Aspiration Tier 2 (their second item).
If M. Legs drops, Person A gets to lot on it.

Example #2:

Person C has 26 points, E. Body listed as their Aspiration and are on Aspiration Tier 1 (their first item).
Person D has 27 points, E. Body listed as their Aspiration and are on Aspiration Tier 1 (their first item).
If E. Body drops, Person D gets to lot on it.

Example #3:

Person E has 19 points, with H. Legs listed as their Aspiration and are on Aspiration Tier 2 (their second item).
Person F has 19 points, with H. Legs listed as their Aspiration and are on Aspiration Tier 2 (their second item).
If H. Legs drops, both people may lot on it.

Example #4:

Person G has 18 points, with an item listed as their Aspiration which costs twenty (20) points and are on Aspiration Tier 1.
Person H has 16 points, with the same item listed as their Aspiration as Person G and are on Aspiration Tier 1.
If this item drops, Person G gets to lot on it and will be at -2 points and Aspiration Tier 2.

Example #5:

Person I has 18 points, is on Aspiration Tier 1 and wishes to lot on a FL item for five (5) points.
Person J has 3 points, is on Aspiration Tier 2 and wishes to lot on the same FL item as Person I for five (5) points.
Both people may lot the FL item, with five (5) points being subtracted from the winner's point total. Aspiration Tiers will not be changed.

Example #6:

Person K has 30 points, is on Aspiration Tier 2 and wishes to lot on a FLNR item that they can equip.
Person L has 1 point, is on Aspiration Tier 3 and wishes to lot on a FLNR item that they cannot equip.
Both people may lot the FLNR item, with the winner's point total and Aspiration Tier both remaining the same.

Member Threads:

Each member is REQUIRED to post a member thread in the MBEinherjar Members section of the forums.
This thread's title will be the name of your character, and will contain the following information:

Your current jobs leveled to 75 that are decently geared.
Your current subjobs leveled to 37.
Your "Aspiration" item history (see Points/Drops section for details).

Alliance Formation:

Tier 1,2,3:
The two alliances for Chambers in Tiers 1, 2, and 3 will be filled out on a first come, first serve basis.

If there are more than 36 members at Nashmau/Hazhalm by 11:30pm ET, anyone who subsequently arrives will likely not have a spot in the run.
It is for this reason that it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you arrive in Nashmau/Hazhalm promptly at the gather time listed under Event Times.

Odin:

Odin runs will be filled out according to a signup thread, which will be posted at least two (2) weeks before the planned Odin run.
The initial post of the signup thread will contain the layout for each alliance, including who will be attending and as what job.

In order to secure a spot in the Odin run, one must post one's willingness to attend the Odin run as a reply to the signup thread.

The Aspiration Tier/Point Total a member has, the order in which members reply to the signup thread, and the jobs a member has leveled to 75 will determine the roster for the event.

Questions may be directed to any Leader either in-game or via Private Message on the forums.

One small addition to this.

You have to have the job of level to use the abjurations at the time of posting your member thread and you can not change your items. If you don't have the job of level to use when you post, then you can't put that item on your list.
