Alchemy

I was asked about making hi-potions and ethers. I can currently synth regular potions and ethers with no problem. I'm also skilling up on Hi-potions currently. Hi-potions cap at 60 and my current lvl is 54, so I'll be making those for awhile. I'll either take items and craft them for whoever needs them or sell them at a discount price if anyone is interested. As for Hi-ethers, I have awhile to go for those. They cap at 69, so I won't start those until I hit 62-63.

FYI:
potion: Water crystal + Sage + Lizard Tail + Distilled Water

ether: Water crystal + (2) Bat wings + Dried Marjoram + Dryad Root + Distilled Water

Hi-potions: Water crystal + (2) Sage + Malboro Vine + Distilled Water

If anyone has any of the above ingredients laying around and you don't want it, I'll be happy to take it off your hands. Also, if you have malboro vines you want to donate or sell quickly, I'll generally be more than happy to buy them from you until I reach lvl 60. I can also make prism powders and silent oils if there is an interest in those items. Beehive chips always appreciated :happyroll

Damn, I had a bunch of them from logging and killing trees and such, but I tossed them cause I didn't wanna wait to get a stack, had I known I coulda mailed them to you :headbange

No worries though, next time I'm in Jugner or bubu and I get a bunch I know exactly who to mail them too :D

Oh, also go a bunch of bubu grapes and Yagudo cherries I don't need, if someone can use them for crafting send a /tell

Ah well.. if you ever get a bunch again I'll be HAPPY to take them from you. You can pretty much figure that anything with a wierd name is for alchemy. :shocked:

if anyone doesnt mind, if they come across any spare light crystals or dryad roots that they dont want ill take them for alchemy. Also you can have the results of which i make, also i can make any item from 1-44 Alchemy and 1-18 Goldsmithing, this meaning im able to make bullets for anyone that needs them.

well now im in the 50's of Alchemy, if anyone happens to come across any malboro vines i need them badly to get skill ups, once i get about 68 more vines about 15 of the hi-potions will be going to the LS mules, so if anyone comes across any they will be greatly appreciated.

Assuming that you farm alot of your stuff you shouldnt spend way to much money at this lvl. Great thing about alchemy is that water crystal is cheap and easily farmed. i used the following

Venom Potion 68 Cap - Venom Dust x1, Mercury x1 Water C
Mercury you can make off trent bulbs which you can farm easily enough and fairly cheap if you want to buy it. Ven Dust theres a gob vendor in Lower Jueno where th gobbie bag quest is. So youll never run out of material

or

Hi-Ether 69 Cap - Distilled Water x1, Dryad Root x1, Bat Wing x4, Dried Marjoram x2 Water C.
I reccomend not farming theses materials but farming some other money making material -> sell them -> use the gil to buy these materials. Other wise youll spend way to much time farming. Really compared to other crafts these lvls are cheap. If you watch it carefully I think you can do this with 500k and maybe just farm a few times in between if that. Hope that helps!

From what i've seen in alchemy, it's VERY cheap to lvl up. Don't sweat it, ur not gonna lose a lot of money. Not like smithing ;;

On a bright note, i think darksteel is at a really cheap stage. Bought a few 11k ore today :D

hmm, yeah was thinking venom pots too. What I may do since my fishing is at about 60 is I'll just fish monke-onkes and desynth them into venom dust. Mercury easy enough to get, got plenty of it sitting around in mh. What my original idea was was to skillup off repairing sh fishing rods while I fished on the boat. Just haven't had the time or inclination to fish lately, hopefully this new fishing patch will change it and actually make it enjoyable again.
