Verify LS Crafters

If everyone has a moment, please verify again whether you are or aren't volunteering to be an LS crafter. I put up a small page for the 'craftsman' if you would like to check it out. It shows the information as it currently is, if you'd like your name added or removed, please post. Also, if you do want to be an LS crafter, please update craft skills in the character tracker, along with what materials you are currently seeking (such as Earth Crystal, Saruta Cotton, Bone Chips, etc) so LS mates can send what you need when they have it available.

Pretty much most of my money will be going to woodcrafting for a while, so i am still offereing my services. Hopefully i'll be getting up there soon enough to help repair some of those rods. I can make shihei (past the point where i could skill up), and quite a few arrows, so let me know with a /tell or whatever and i'll tell you if i can make the item or not. I "insure" my work for the most part so if i bomb the synth i'll cover it (exceptions are outrageously expensive items...then i might need some help ;_;). For the record my woodcrafting is still at 33.

Okay, I really want to get into a craft, but I'm not sure exactly what it is I want to do. So many crafts involve having skill in 2-3 other crafts as well. Which only makes things even harder.

But I'm consdering getting into either Goldsmith or Smithing. So I guess I'll be a second LS crafter if I get in one of those.

:slidinggl I am a 9 cloth/waeving skill. I know it is low but it may help the ls. Can someone explain exactly what the ls crafters do? This will help me understand what would be requried of me as a crafter. Thank you!!!

On the main page, there is a selection on the main title bar for Craftsmen. There is a small description on what a LS Crafter does, and a list of everyone that has volunteered for the LS Crafter position.

More than anything, the LS Crafter is like a high level character to a low level character. In some cases they advise, in others they may be willing to do for you. Usually, at the least, they are willing to offer the LS a discount for crafted goods. Me personally I find a lot of the time what LS mates need is advice on how or what to craft to gain. But there are plenty of cases where an LS mate can afford the materials, and would like an LS crafter to turn the materials into product, like making arrows, shihei, food, fishing bait, medicines, etc etc, or to make things that just aren't available in the AH.

While we are mentioning it, I would like to say for the record that the people that have volunteered for LS Crafter deserve a little help in return. LS Crafters are sacrificing profit to craft for the LS at a discount. Sometimes they even craft items for free. Sometimes they even give up their own investment, like when an LS mate send materials but not crystal, and the crafter has to supply the crystal. While I'm not saying the LS Crafters deserve to get paid, I am saying that they should be appreciated.

To take Juell for example, she has asked for Malboro Vines, Dryad Roots, and even beehive chips, to progress along the path of Alchemist. To take me for example, I'm having a terrible time breaking the rut on Weaver skill, and need tons and tons of silk to get past my bump. To take Nutan, for example, he is in desparate need of Dark Crystal and San'd Grapes and Yag Cherries to level his Culinary skill.

There are pleanty of ways to help out a LS Crafter, I'm just saying give a little consideration into doing something for them too. If they craft mithkabobs, shihei, or any number of other stacked items, let them keep some of the product, epecially in cases where the crafter hits a few HQ synths and makes extra. In some cases where they craft armor or weapons, maybe send the item back when you upgrade gear again instead of selling it on the AH for 2k gil. Or maybe go a little out of the way to farm a few items for them when you are farming for other items, like sending Juell the Malboro Vines you get while farming in Pashhow.

Not lecturing, not commanding, just suggesting, as I've seen the LS Crafters do a lot for the LS. Some are very good about helping us, and it's that appreciation that keep us going. Just saying to those who haven't helped us, or to those new to our linkshell, please appreciate what we do. As much as we like helping others, having helpful crafters in the LS is a luxury that really shouldn't be taken for granted.

As soon as I get my strike sheild I will begin to level my cloth skill. Any items that are sent to me from LS members, will go to our LS, the result product that is. If the person wishes for the product I will let them have it, I just need help in leveling basicly. Once I am at a higher level I will make stuff at no cost for LS members if the materials are supplied. I am currently level 9 recruit. Well id like to throw my name into the hat for crafter as well:) Alchemy and bone are my highest as of now but im going to be lvling leather and smithing sometime soon. smithing and i are kinda in a rut with all the ore and money involved to lvl it if anyone need something give me a heads up. I usually dont charge for anything so long as the materials are given so if anyone needs help give me a heads up:)

I'd like to volunteer myself as a Smith for the LS. However, I doubt you'll be using me all that much b/c Pulv is considerably higher :P

I can do some alchemy stuff (lvl 21), my goal is to take it all the way, so right now all i need is someone higher level than me to HQ some beeswax, and i can send all mats (it will save me so much money since beeswax is $$$$$ right now). I can then skillup with silent oil.

Rachell was awesome enough to do this for me once, she rules.

Maybe one day I will be high level alchemy too.

Anything lower level i'll be happy to craft, and if you need crayfish or rusty items let me know i keep fishing em.
