This is a poll to see the level of interest in setting up EFs as LS events. If there is enough interest, we can decide what level EF we want to do.

Some information regarding Expeditionary Forces (EF) for those who are unfamiliar.

The requirements to participate in EFs are as follows:

1. Rank 3
2. All members must be from same country.
3. Meet the minimal level of the region.

Also, there will be a level cap for each region so prepare to have your gear with you as well as your normal gear.

Getting the EF:

1. Everyone gathers at the gate guard in the home city.
2. Talk to the gate guard to join EF and make pick the region that has been agreed to.
3. Once everyone has the EF, the guard will teleport the PT/Alliance to the proper outpost.

Doing the EF:

1. Once at the outpost, the goal is to find special beastman flags. Until it is found, there is NO level cap. Just fight and kill normal mobs to build TP.
2. Once flag is found, DO NOT TOUCH the flag. Mages should cast the buff spells and everyone should change to their level cap gear.
3. As soon as ONE person touches the flag, the level cap will be placed on the whole party (not sure if entire alliance) and 4-6 beastman NM (depending on the nation's rank) will spawn.
4. Once the NMs are defeated, the flag will change to another location.
5. The more flags found and NMs defeated means more rank points for the nation.
6. When the alliance decides they've done enough, they will get a free warp back to home city.

Reward:

At the weekly tally, if the region is won by the nation then each player gets rewarded with conquest points. Some say that there are also treasure chest that spawn as reward, but I don't know if that's true.

Notes:

By all accounts, this is a pretty tough fight and a full alliance of 18 people is highly recommended. There is always 4 NMs to fight so the more people the better. However, it sounds like a lot of fun and is an opportunity for members of all levels to participate together because of the limit cap. This isn't like a skillup party so some coordination is required (best to do skillchains, use food, etc.).

well hey, i'd love to do this...i know that i'm not necessarily Neph anymore...but since this isnt purely like a LS event (the races, gob relay, death day, etc.) and something that anyone from the Nation could actually benefit from and provide more support...i was wondering if i could come to do an EF for windy ^^...if no, its cool and i understand...but hey...Windy power right? lol...okay that sounds lame...but yeah i've wanted to do EF for a while and i could easily help seeing as i have so much damn free time..okies...lemme know...thx

Well, other than you are from Windy, I have no objections. ^^ I think it would be nice to have the participation of others.

I was informed that the number of NM that will spawn depends on the nation's current rank. So, 1st place nations will spawn 6 NMs while the last place nation will spawn 4 NMs.

Yes, we will try to find out what region to try and what the level cap is a few days before actually doing it so people will have time to prepare.

Let's set up a time to do the LS farming event to gather materials for our EF mission.

I'll just pick Tuesday, June 22 (next week) 8PM PST. People comment on whether this time works or not. Or maybe people prefer to do it on a weekend? If so, we can do it sometime this weekend.

We will have two teams similiar to how we did Nutan's AF hunt. One team will be responsible for crystal farming and the other will hunt other materials (determine by what materials we need).

To hunt crystals, we need to use our lower level jobs so we get the crystal drops.

Err... 6/22 8PM PST = 6/23 Noon JST.
I will be having lunch at office, at that time.
Logging in Weekend depends on my familiy's plan.

I like to find a time where both players in North America (yes, I'm not forgetting our Canadian brothers and sisters) and Japan can participate. What might be a good time to hold an event that we can all participate in?

Bakslash

For the EF mission, I'm thinking about doing it on a Saturday evening (US time). If it is scheduled for a Saturday at 21:00 EDT the time would be Sunday 10:00 in Japan.

We just have to decide which weekend works best.

Due to circumstances, I will have to cancel plans for doing EF missions in the near future.

We've been talking about doing one of these for a loooooooooooooooooooong time. I can only imagine now when it would actually go down.

There's been too many request for other activities that I've not been able to find a time for us to do this. A lot of people are trying to get stuff done before the expansion pack comes out, but hopefully things will settle down soon and we can get this going.

BTW, I'll be doing Bastok. ^^

BTW, I'll be doing Bastok. ^^

Maybe I'll switch cities and become Bastok too ^^ But don't gain control of regions till I get rank up to get the necklace! Quick question. Does my Moghancement: Conquest give me more conquest points no matter my city allegiance or only when I'm on windy?

Sarizaddi
09-08-2004, 11:48 AM
Moghancement:Conquest gives bonus Conquest points while you have signet and only for the country you are currently aligned to.

My understanding it that you have 3 different Ranks and 3 Different sets of Conquest points. If you are Windhurstian Rank 9 and have 30k Conquest Points, then change to Bastok, Then you are Bastokan Rank 1 and have o conquest points. If you build up to Rank 6 Bastokan and 20k Conquest Points, then switch back to Windy, then you are now Rank 9 Windhurstian and have 30k conquest points from before. It's just like switching jobs and have level and exp totals.

Thanks sari. Darn I thought I could get me some extra points quicker :( Like I don't have plenty of Windy points already... On the bright side I can solo most of the lower missions now ^^ Down side it's expensive to switch cities.

Leta

how much does it cost to change cities?

Desdemona

how much does it cost to change cities?

I believe it is 40k if the city is in first place, 15k (or there abouts) if the city is 2nd, and 3k if its 3rd.

Sari is right - you keep all the CPs for when/if you change back. You do not keep the record of supply runs and you have to get your ballista license again, however. Probably other things got erased but I noticed those right away.

I switched from Bastok to Windy for a while - it was a bunch of fun doing the 1-5 rank quests at a high level and for another town. Went back home to bastok but one day might switch back for a while (or to sandy - who knows).

You should just switch to Windurst for good. We're way cooler over there anyway.

This weekend there might be a Bastok EF mission for level 65+. This isn't being run by Nephilim, but for those interested from our LS let me know.
