Ventrilo is a computer aided live-action voice chat system, like Teamspeak. Imagine having a headset or a mic and actually talking to party members during a fast pace event. Dynamis is one example, but I could see it's usage in ENMs you guys do every week too.
It's free to use, just not to host. But I take care of the hosting, so for Nephilim and Conviction members, just imagine free voice chat.

We do. Ventrilo is a tad cheaper, and just kinda what more people have.

I'll use whatever.
I like Ventrillo better than TeamSpeak. I think the voices are clearer, and in Ventrillo you can adjust the incoming volume, in TeamSpeak you can't.

Everybody should get onto ventrilo imo...its fun...and we laugh and talk. Makes the game have a more personal feel too. :sleeping:

btw...I still think people should be on ventrilo, even if it's just like...sometimes. It's so fun to listen to everybody talk. I like listening to you guys...and I like to say "eye-are-L" now...(irl) :surprise:

New version of ventrilo uploaded today at www.ventrilo.com it's a matter of time when sari's server will be upgraded since it's a "mandatory update"

step by step instruction plz :D
Download the client...and then install it. Run it...
Click on the "->" next to User Name to make yourself a handle.
Click on the "->" next to Server and enter this info
Hostname or IP: 216.32.88.211
Port Number: 3787
Password: Sarizaddi
Click on connect to get to the server. Double click the name of the channel you wanna join.
Under setup, play with your Outbound and Inbound for your volume settings. If we tell you to turn your outbound down, that's where you go to. Also set up a hotkey so you aren't breathing into the microphone and we can hear it. I use R2 on my controller...or you can use end key or capslock..doesn't matter. :) Also on recording (input) you can mess with your computer microphone settings too.

The ****** for the password you entered doesn't look as long as Sarizaddi... maybe retry typing that and make sure you don't have any bad keys on your keyboard? o_O
no its the correct # of *'s, and when you enter a wrong password it tells you, hmm. im thinking finar ; ;
Only thing it could possibly be is a firewall / router setting. But i dont have my port forwarded and it works.

Sari's sever was just recently updated with the new update, so try it again...also select the push to talk hotkey and set a hot key.

had to go to "Norton -> "Status and setting" -> 'Personal Firewall" and allow vent to have access
if anyone else has the same problem
