Help me please, I am moving and also getting a new computer. That means either make new macros or save them on a floppy. I know this was posted before but...I am not sure where to find it. Can someone please provide a helpful guide for me so I dont have to make new macros. Thank you!!!

Macros will be in a userdata file somewhere in the POL files. There not much I can offer in advice except that you do a lot of hunting through the userdata files for the macros files, but another piece of advice is if you have more than on character, it may make it easier to identify, and if you think you found it but want to make sure its the right file, you might take note of the file size, go into FFXI, fill up one of your empty macro palettes with junk macros, and exit POL. If that filesize changes, I'd say it's probably the right macro file.
Other than that, you could also make a GM call, as they tend to be very helpful with things like identifying userdata files when you have to re-install POL and FFXI and don't want to lose user information.

thank you sarizaddi, does it copy the files or actually cut the files? do you know? I will try it out if not I will just remake the macros.

It should cut the files, but since your copying the macros onto a floppy, it shouldn't matter which it does. remember safety first though, make a copy of destination files when you reinstall (such as make a copy of the macro file FFXI creates for itself and put it in a safe place before moving your new macro file on top of it). Some programs has a tendancy to create key specific userdata files so super-imposing your old macro files may end up not working anyways.
Come to think of it, I might just make a GM call and ask anyways. I believe if I say something like "I have created a new character and would like to copy my macros to my new character", he might tell me all of the best ways to save time.
