Frice I have 288 shield skill at lvl 73, at 75 I"ll have 300... me + that shield would be godly.. I'm gonna look into upgradeing the relic shield now :x

edit: Ok so this is what I'm gonna aim for in dynamis now.

Stage 1: Bulwark Shield
Amaltheia Leather (Not sure wtf that is)
Orichalcum Sheet (Already have)
Ancient Lumber (Cheap)
L. Jadeshell x1 (Can probably work for)
M. Silverpiece x1 (Almost have)
100 Byne Bill x1 (Can probably work for)

Stage 2: Dynamis Shield
Buckler (Have)
Round Shield (Have)
Koenig Shield (Have)
L. Jadeshell x4 (Need)
M. Silverpiece x4 (1/4 almost)
100 Byne Bill x4 (Need)

Stage 3: Ancile
Attestation of Invulnerability + ???

Stage 4: Aegis
Supernal Fragment + ???

see that upgrade I can do.. if I sold all my sam gear I could have all the currency needed and then some to pimp my pld itself o_O; Just need fragments and the attestation ^^; I think if I ever get the attestation I'll probably go for this and say to hell with sam :P However, I'm willing to bet this isn't all the info on it.... stage three normally costs alot ; ;.

Ghal, you should know as well as anyone of us that have been in this game for a while...Relic upgrades = Uber expensive...That 3rd/4th upgrade....you know it's gonna be hell....as it is with all the upgrades =P

I've been hoping to get this someday myself, but I need a good Dynamis LS first ._. (insert shameless plea for admittance into MegaBoss here).

I mostly wanted to post to let Ghaleon know what the Amaltheia leather is. Amaltheia is a Ram NM in Lufaise Meadows, I haven't yet gone and fought the %&##*&, but she apparently summons all other rams & sheep in the zone to her aid (at a pace that they can be dealt with if you have a good add group). From my research and conversations I've heard its a tough fight but do-able, although rams do all sorts of nasty stuff like Max HP Down.

She's force popped by trading a Relic Shield to the ???, and you do not get the shield back, but I guess if you do Dynamis often enough to get all the currency you're gonna need you can get another Relic Shield easily. The drop is an Amaltheia hide, so it's not even ready after the battle, you have to have a leathercrafter synth it into Amaltheia leather. I wasn't able to find out if it's 100% drop, but due to the nature of the fight/item I would imagine it is. I don't remember who it was, but I saw the Amal. Leather in one of the more distinguished PLDs on the server's bazaar, so if you see that maybe he could shed further light on it for you.

Anyway, if someday you decide to go try to fight her and feel like cooperating with a fellow PLD shoot me a tell, maybe we could combine friends/LSs and do the fight twice with a larger group to help each other succeed. In any case I hope the above information is helpful.^^

/wave to Drash and my other friends in Neph! I've become pretty happy in Paragon, and have a lot of friends there that I moved to Paragon with from my old LS, so I decided to back off my Neph app, but you guys are all great people, if you ever need a PLD or just wanna chat let me know. :)

Since I am a Leathercrafter and I just wanted to fight that sheep I snagged a relic shield from jueno since no-one was lotting on it. I have a shield to us to pop the NM and I don't care about getting the leather since i'm only 89+2 and not high enough to turn the hide into leather. So if you can get the ls to want to fight it I'm all about having the experience of fighting all the sheepies in that zone.

The shield also does I think 200 DMG on shield bash and can get the relic 4X random DMG multiplier. I've heard rumours that the bash is AOE ... but that would be kinda stupid, so i dunno.

I have been told from a friend today on another server that has it that its almost if not 100% stun and 200~400 damage bash... but I think he might be pulling my chain <_< as for AOE I doubt it :P I think it might give you maat's shield bash though which was 100~400 damage and 100% stun.

No he doens't but he uses an attack called Maat Bash that is Shield bash on crack ; ;

I got to meet Aegis on Saturday night. He talks quite a bit of smack while all his Satellite Shield cohorts are beating on ya.

If you go on BG and read the blog translation on one of the JP AV pops, shield bash was doing in the 250s to absolute virtue, so the dmg part isn't a lie.
