Ok, Official release says 4 jobs incoming.
1st Job: Blue Mage is officially released.
2nd Job: Geomancer has been officially detailed, a tank type mage using shields and Geomancer magic to prevent damage.
3rd Job: No Official release. But do you want a hint? Here's some deduction for you. All Beastmen monsters have Jobs aligned to jobs PC can have. Goblin Gambler, that's a Black Mage. Orcish Backstabber, That's a thief. Brook Sahagin, that's a Dragoon. Well, in the description of the new Beastman Race, the Lamia, you get this info:
A bewitching race of beastmen with an upper body like that of a Hume woman and a lower body resembling that of a venomous serpent.
The Lamiae are few in number compared to the other beastmen inhabitants of the Near East. However, they have ensorceled the bones of fallen soldiers, creating an undead army of considerable size to defend their reef settlements.
Okay, what would that say to you?
4th Job: No Official release. Still working though the only hints given are that those of the far east are accomplished alchemists. If alchemy is incorporated, then Alchemists as a job might be hinted at.
Just thought I'd start an official thread here to discuss what you have see or heard. Rumors abound, and that's what makes half this search for more info so much fun!

I'm guessing that 3rd job you're saying there is Necromancer. I've heard everything about why people think they'll be added, but I still don't see it happening. >.>; I'm standing by the SE won't add a job that's not from FF idea.. well, unless they disguise necromancer as some previous FF job, then they'll have tricked me.
But Geomancer, yea, thats what me want most, I wish they'd hurry up and officially announce geomancer as a job. I've heard all of that stuff about elemental shields and stuff before, and me likes that idea. <3 Geomancer
And on the 4th one, I'd like chemist to be added, maybe enhance the potency of potions and be able to use them on others. Well, thats all I have to say. >.>

I'm willing to bet Geomancer gets Reflect! That's about as tankish a mage can get. :D

Not necessarily. Wind Effects for Blinks, Stone effects for Stoneskin or Phalanx, All weathers for Spikes, Light Effects for Protects or effects similar to Minne, and who knows what else they could come up with. Basically, a tank mage built to be a tank mage, you could get real nasty just with the stuff they have out now.

Stole this from a guy on the VGcats forum: "I'm a Necromancer, not a Necrophiliac."
That is all, good day ;p
what Tman said. pirates would be teh hot
I would be glad to see a new tank class. Just so long as we dont add any melee..
None.
No melee
Please?
Necromancer makes sense. Its mentioned in a couple of CoP quests (along with Blue Mage and Aht Urugan itself now :P). I bet its a new solo-centric class, a la BST (if it exists, anyway)
The fourth job........can't think of one. Alchemist maybe.....maybe Dancer or another BRD-type....
pirate can tank
/ja "Drink Rum" <me> : take no damage for 30 seconds
/ja "Arrrrr!" <t> : target stops attacking for 10 seconds

i think necro will be a new job. alot of people say it wont because "Its not in any other FFgame". but if you think about it this game itself is not like any other FF game... and its a mmorpg.. look at all the other ones out there? alot of them have necro type jobs. SE prob thinks that since alot of other games have it, and players are used to the idea. why not add it? I think it would be like drg/mage. /ja skills would include call skelly with a 20 min cool down (that could be why they changed drg's 2hr all the sudden" and instead of having to melee like the drg, would prob be able to tell it to attack like smn.

Think back to final fantast tactics for the other jobs.
I don't think its Necromancer, I think its Mediator. Someone that takes control of beastmen mobs for pets.

what about knights/swordsman? i could see them adding break skills into the game. or maybe add skills like orlandu. hell it would be cool to have them do party buffs like Drawout skills the samurai in tactics had or something. or elemental sword attacks (like steiner with vivi)
mediator would be ok but wouldnt that basically be a bst? talk/charm a pet to help you fight? but i dont think mediators could talk to undead could they? and the new mob controls undead. :P
what about time mage? i know whm and rdm can already haste/slow. but what about adding hastega/slowga, haste2/slow2, gravity2, comet/meteor, maybe even a stun spell or stop.
:P as you can see im just tossing up ideas now lol

You forgot my 2 favorite jobs
Esper
Worthless Mascot character (Cat Sith FF7, Umaro FF6)
Sarizaddi

Esper is equated to Special Sphere iirc, and Mascot is there, just needs to be equated to 6 and 7. But Mascot needs to be disregarded, because Mascot is more like a race or a pet than a job for a PC.

i decided the new job will be mogknight. you ride a moggle around while in heavy armor and you run into things with your joust. this will have to be a taru-only job.

Just because the hints lead at undead doesn't mean it will be a necromancer.
Besides, personally, I'd say Mediator is a little closer to the truth, given the previous jobs.
As for being "basically a BST" Yeah.. it will be basically a BST
But isn't RDM "basically" a BLM?

except rdm is meant to debuff and nukes start to suck :P then they get into pts only cause of refresh :P i dont see it as being close to blm at all :P

Personally I'm hoping for Rune Knight.

Hell yeah can you rescue me from a evil wizard that has imprisoned me with a spell of weakness aka "The Curse of the Sweet Spot"?
That way I can wear my new mithra RSE "Slave Girl Laitha" outfit

maybe a medic will be the fourth job, they use herbs and such to heal team members, a new main healer type job would be a nice addition imo
