View Full Version : Invitation to Ronin
With the recent release of NA CoP everyone is starting to do Promyvion. This would be the perfect time for us to meet you all and get to know you since it requires 18 person aliiance. Nephilim invites you to join us as we all explore the new missions and die together :gape: . We should be starting some this evening so just get in contact with me or anyone else you know to find out if we have a run going. With the massive number of ppl wanting to do this and the massive deaths that are goin to occur there is plenty of room for more =) .

I should be picking up my copy of CoP as soon as my Dad gets home.
I have a full set (except for head piece because it's useless for WHM) of Seer's gear, so I'm ready for Promyvion!

Sadly as much as I would like to participate, the game is no where to be found. Hopefully others will have it. Patrik does for sure, and I heard Qingfen does as well.

Unfortunately this didn't go as well as we had hoped. ASide from taking two hours past when we had itended to get started in the first place, a couple things happened inside Promyvion that set us back a great deal. In the end we called it quits with intentions to try again today and get started early.

Well after doing the Prom-dem run twice we were able to at least get one group down that i saw. After i was browsing the nephilim forum and was noticing that individuals were doing this event with other linkshells. I was just wondering what was up with that. Seems you would wnat to help your own ls through rather then go solo with others. Especially since there was pre-planned time to go. Please don't feel i am knocking anyone.
Thanks,
Steeleman

Some members have multiple shells, and as such some members are doing it with their other linkshells. That's not to say that anyone is excluding doing it with us, only that our intention is usually to get everyone through it, and getting everyone through sometimes takes longer than hopping into a group forming in Jeuno. Nephilim is very flexible in that means, that we understand sometimes members wawnt to do things like this with their statics, or with friends from another shell, or sometimes they want to do things like this on whim. It actually ends up being an enriching experience, because there are times when someone decides to do something like Promyvion sooner than Nephilim forms the party for it, and when time for the party comes, it means that Nephilim has an experienced member to lead.

We actually did another run Saturday night and two more LS groups were able to complete the Prom-dem. If you're talking about Laucian's post it's because we have a few members who belong to more then one LS and they had scheduled their own Prom runs.

I would suspect these runs will become easier once more people have done them. This is basically NA's first time doing something meant to be hard without being able to go and read a stratagy that has beed tested by the JPN for over a year.
I think what people are experienceing here is the same thing the JPN's felt the first time they did Genkai 1.
Now that I have the expansion I hope to have some time to do a run of this, but given how long it takes I am not sure when. ;;

At the same time, I did want to offer some apologies to Qingfen and Steeleman. Their first impression of a Nephilim Event was a poor one. While we can make the excuse that Promyvion and such are all new, no one knew what to expect or how to handle it, at the same time I will admit that Nephilim could have handled the run quite a bit better. There were a few people that refused direction, and this caused confusion. On top of that, some people lost their tempers over how poorly things went. I'm very sorry if they took back with them a bad impression, and I know little of how to make it up or repair the things they might have seen or related.
The only thing I can say is that I and Nephilim still would like to try again, refine these relations a little better. I might suggest that we lean away from Co-hosting something as stressful as a Promyvion run, but now that we have refined Promyvion-Dem, and are moving over to others, I leave that choice to you.

I think it was good the way things turned out as it did. Nephilim is not perfect 100% of the time. ^^ Our ranks are filled with both experienced and less experienced players. For the most part, Nephilim is pretty cool and relaxed but every once-in-a-while some disagreement will occur and generally everything gets resolved quickly after people step away for a little bit. Since Qingfeng and Steeleman came to observe Nephilim, I think it is important for them to see this aspects of the LS and understand that we have members from level 30 all to the way to 75.

No group or person can ever be perfect. Everyone has good days and bad days. I wouldn't take one bad experience, or even one good experience in anything and accept that as the standard expierence.
Add in the fact that you have 18 people all trying to do a new and exciting thing together and things are bound to get messy.
As I said I don't thing Ronin would form a bad opinion of Nephilim from one bad experience any more then you would of us if the situation was reversed.
On that note, we should try to plan another outing. I know most ronin still need to do the Promathyion... (spelling?) misisons as we got our CoP late.
I am on tonight if you want to give me a /tell.
Or we can try something else like a BCNM. We have the BCNM40 down perfect.

If abyone is interested in Joining, we're going to make a run at Promyvion-Holla today. The time was set for 2 p.m. PST, which gives everyone at least a few hours to plan
