Forums are crashing

Due so some out of control posting of attachments and pictures, the attachment table crashed the forums. I have only been able to reclaim what you see, and although I'll be trying to fix the forums over the next few days, all attachements are lost and we are hairs away from losing the whole thing.

You will run into code issues on every single thread that has an attachement, so sorry to say until it's fixed, Nephilim forums will be at thier worst.

Maybe my head just wasn't together last night but I finally found what I needed.

Forums are fixed as they can be, all attachments are lost.

All posts and threads on site are maintained and there don't seem to be any more database errors.

Don't worry, it's fixed as can be now.

I'm fine with attachements and playing around, I just have to watch file sizes closer. It would help though if you are posting a picture already hosted somewhere else if you could link to the original host rather than re attaching here.

Updating, please note that there are still a few threads which are somewhat lost because they make references to items no longer there, but for the most part, everything is ok for now.

But many people notice occasional downtimes. This is because of the spam bots. I am continue my efforts to lock them out of the forums, but they become more and more ingenius as time goes on. Recently, they have a new method of using the new user registration system to use the forums as a spam sending device, and you'll see some new user like BuyMyPills register and then the servers go down for a few minutes as they crash my server bandwidth sending spam. Best thing I've been able to do so far is delete them as soon as I see them and ban their IP and address proxy.

But it only goes so far so fast, and the best I can do is apologize and try to stay on top of it until vBulletin updates their software to lock these hacks out. So please, just know when you try to log in and get the servers are down message, it won't be long til the server is back up. But for now there is little to do but be patient. No sense getting angry because there's nothing else to do...

(except unless of course you know a spam-bot programmer, in which case you could always go crack in their skull with a greasy crowbar...because less spam-bot hacker in the world is no one's loss)
