Nephilim needs to get off their butts, and begin our Saturday events once more.

We've had a little break from the CoP, and admittedly, I haven't done squat as far as the expansion goes.

We have alot of members that I'm sure need to get alot done, Time is of the essance, to the Batmobile~!

Lv 50 or 60cap ballista!
So few people play. But it's really fun if you play with people you know.

Oh man I am so down for some Ballista. I'm not a "PvP" kind of player, but Ballista has to be some of the funnest stuff in the game :) Would be great to get some LS ballista going!

This weekend's meeting will go over that.

Mainly, if you'd like to start thinking about it, I believe I've come to the realization that there needs to be multiple events for Event Day. Mainly, there are some people that could/would come along to a coffer hunt/skill-up party, but not the full body of Nephilim needs to attend such an event. At the same time there may be 8-10 people that need to farm the Quicksand Cactuars for the S.O.B. Quest, but no reason all of us need to be there either. At the same time, some members may be wanting to do ZMs and High level mission runs, something not appropriate for lower level members, and in some cases others really can't help with (BCNMs, 6 only, etc).

So I was going to propose leaving event days Saturday, but instead of one event (that always seems to get scrambled) do 3 events per day. For this, I would need at least 2 more event co-ordinators, and between three people lead three groups to three separate goals, where all members have the option selecting one of three events. This will allow members to become more involved, because by selecting which of three events to attend they are more likely to enjoy and profit from event days the way I'm hoping everyone can.

At the same time, having multiple venues helps deal with our event over-population. In the past, there have been some events where we have had as many as 30+ people show up to (impressive) but too many for the goals set aside. Event days end up deteriorating with everyone breaking off to do their own thing. Why not just set events up like that to start with?

Also, with making the events days more broken up and focused, it gives members a better chance to meet each other where they might not normally have the opportunity. They can actually get to have fun, rather than constantly trying desperately to stay alive in the chaos, confusion, and lag that follows large groups.

Now with that, there are still some options open, such as calling an event for a certain zone. Take Event Day Temple of Uggalepih, for instance. One group can focus on killing Coffer Key Mobs for keys, Lanterns for ZM4, and skill-up. One group can concentrate on the Carbuncle Mitt NM. One group can concentrate on farming stalkers for G.Fish Bones for the Opo-Opo Crown. Then the G.Fish Bone Party can have a secondary goal to do the "Question of Taste" NM. But if split up, everyone's level and desires can be met and challenged. At the same time, there aren't too many people there for one particular thing, so it's much easier to organize and control the event to ensure timeliness and success.

So basically, we need to do a little discussion on the best way to restart event days, and if everyone agrees with this idea, then the best way to do division. At the same time, I was hoping to get volunteers to assist with event day co-ordination. Any way it goes, Event Days will start again soon, it's just best to capitalize desires and organize them right.

It sounds like a lot to discuss at one time and I still feel it's better to discuss topic on the forum in advance.

Initially, we set up event days because we were short on people so gathering people together in advance was necessary if we wanted to be able to something. Now, we have more people that I see a lot of mini-events going on among LS members so we should look at these as examples.

Exactly, most of the discussion can happen in advance, with just a finalization on Saturday.

Like at this point I consider E-Pearls closed, but I would just like to hear a majority rules that everyone supports what we laid done in the discussion.

If we want to get a just start on event day set-up before hand, it is better that way, that way the meet can be more of letting everyone know what going on if they are the kind not to read the forums (there are some that haven't even registered ><).
