Teh wonderful game of tag

its 2am in the morning atm so I'll edit this a little later. But there has been alot of /taging going on in the LS and in search comments, and now is the time to finally find out who is "truely" "it". Sometime in the near future, we'll have a nice game of "tag" in jueno. I'll be posting rules, times, etc later. Havnt decided if there will be a prize to the one who is tagged the "least" and to the one who is truely "it". This will just be a nice small fun event that we can all hopefully enjoy. Everyone is welcome, not just LS. oh and btw...

Or you could play tag in Dynamis Bastok. You guys seem to love that. If I had my vote for absolutest funnest and prolly most interestingest places to play tag, I'd say Dangruf Wadi. So many places to hide, circles to go in, and even secret places. It would be nice to re-use a long abandoned zone.

Dangruf would probably be a good place, but for those who dont have a very good comptuer, it could mean utter pwnage of them due to the loss of FPS. My computer use to lag sooooo bad in there just because of all that needs to be rendered.

Game: Secret Word Scavenger Hunt

There are 3 secret players (some wolfpackers, some not) that have a piece of this word, find them, get all the pieces, and discover the Secret Word. Once you tell me or Wolfshadow that word, You'll win your according prize!

Reward: 1st) 7k gil and Double increased Fame 2nd) 2k gil and increased Fame 3rd) increased fame

Rules: There will be a time limit (long)3-8hours. There will be only 2 winners.

You must find these secret people (who will know their piece of the word), once you poke them and they see your shiny wolfpack ls pearl above your head, they'll tell you their part of the secret word. There will be a total of 3 secret people. Most of their identity will not be disclosed. One will be a non-Wolfpack member (who's location will be generally annouced and some info revealed, eg. his name starts with "A" he's in the Qufim) So thus you're gonna have to poke as many people in that area who's name starts with A. (it will be a hint, like blm in jueno, etc.) The secret people will not be able to talk to you. So don't bother them with tells.

Eg. 3 pieces are , cle, Carb, un = Secret Word, Carbuncle

Event Date: Friday Oct 29th, 2004
Place: Bastok Markets *if too laggy place will be - Pal. Mines or another place based on voting*
Time: 7:00-8:00PM CST / 8:00-9:00PM EST / 5:00-6:00PM PST *can go longer, or shorter, if everyone feels like it*

Rules:
1) "/em tags <t>." is the command to use. And yes it can be macro'ed
2) Using the equip macro so you are unabled to be tagged is not allowed. Though there are ways around that if you know what you are doing. ^^
3) Zoning means you are out of the game, but you will have to wait a certain period of time to come back in, unless otherwise stated.
4) If you must go AFK, please announce it to everyone in the party and then use the /away command. Don't try and abuse this rule ^^
5) biggest rule of all : NO TAG BACKS
6) When tagged you must announce it to everyone be saying /p I'M IT!!!11!~, or something along those lines.
7) No hidding in the mog house!
8) Invis. spell/item/ability is not allowed.
9) The only job ability that I can see being allowed atm is "Flee"
10)Armor that enhances speed is allowed.
11)Someone must be in "reasonable" tagging distance, not 30 feet away and still able to use the /em command. ie, if i was standing next to juell that is ok. but if juell is in a building, and i'm outside, that is not ok. If you go up stairs and someone is below you, that is not ok. Given there can be a few feet distance because when chasing after someone, it is hard to catch up to them, but dont make it too unreasonable. And remember that this is just for fun. ^^

Everyone will be in a party. I dont expect more than 18 ppl doing this, but if there are, than i will change this to an LS, which I will purchase. The person which avoided getting tagged the least will win a "prize" from me. I will be keeping score and everyone else can if they wish. The "prize" wont be anything too special, because this is just a fun activity just to take a break from the normal game. If you think something should be added/deleted/modified, please post it here.

If I may, a technicality you should anounce, going into the MH counts as zoning.

Also, you oughta say something about whether certain abilities (invisibility, camoflage, tonko:ichi) are legal or not.

It does, but when in a pt, it will show u still in the same zone, just not on the map.

Looks like you're gonna have to guard the mog house entrance and tab furiously to make sure no one ducks into the mog house while invis'd :)

And.. one more thing about tagging a person... I *think* that if you are barely able to target someone and do an emote "tag"... the person being tagged won't see it... and therefore I see the possibility of disputes arising due to someone being tagged but the taggee thinks the tagger is just making it up because the taggee didn't see any emote.

Or we can just make the tag macro contain both /em and /p alerts for the sake of redundancy/awareness, and just take the tagger's word for it. We're going to have to rely on the honor system for half of this game anyway ^^
