The Legendary Exts (And Another of My Most Favorite Screenshots Ever)

So I mentioned this wonderful screenshot I have of the Exts before they all got banned in linkshell chat a couple of weeks ago. Don't ask me what they were doing out there - I honestly don't think I'll ever know. .but I also think I'm the only person who could say I got a screenshot of all of them. XD

You guys remember Expeditionary Force, right? Well before Xynd and I were really in Nephilim (just way before I was, actually - I think Xynd was friends with Fegude at the time), we were in a linkshell called SandorianArmy (yes, I know, ew XD) and decided to do a 20-cap one in Valkrum Dunes. I think we beat 4 or 5 groups of the goblins before our rather photogenic demise. .

I thought the Exts got banned a while back.

I remember messing around with them when I three of them were fighting the NM crawler in crawlers nest (the one you force pop). I knew they were RMT at the time, but joined up with them to see if we could start a convo (I was in my 40s as THF, so I wasn't helping them any really; couldn't even hit the mob, and it's 100% drop). Only one of them spoke some english, and it was pretty fun. Among other things, he asked me if I had a girlfriend, and he said that he would like an american girlfriend XD

They did get banned a long time ago (after all if you look the SS was taken in 2005). I was just on my way to party in the Tree and there they were. I never really had conversations with them, but Extc raised a few party members of mine in Crawler's Nest when they use to force pop that NM. The Exts never really took other people's mobs from what I saw, and if we have any RMT at all I'd much rather they be a bit more like them than not.

Ahh, the Exts, I was actually "friends" with a few of them. When I would be farming outside the tree they would always give me a /wave, /cheer, or /salute. One even talked to me in English, we talked about Monks...and western women, lol.

Another group of gil farmers I always kinda "liked" were the ones that leveled up in Davoi. Their names escape me, but I remember one of the three was a Tarutaru (Think his name was Mingdi?). When I would get the Jujitsu Gi NM or a warmachine spawn they would heal me and what-not, and in return I would always save their lives if they pulled too many mobs. I watched those guys grow up... *tear*

Was that expeditionary force with San D'Orian Army? I thought it was with HOTH. Actually seeing that SS brought back some memories.

IIRC Mingdi and friends used to camp Stroper Chyme back when that was the thing to do. One time I was down there with Ellie trying to get my RSE and I aggroed a couple of bats... Mingdi saved me :)

Yeah, it was SA. We did Garrisons with HOTH, but I don't remember ever doing an Expeditionary Force. If you look in there, that's Faraz to my right (first guy), behind him Jirian, and the elvaan in the center with the black hair and scythe is Zak. :P And actually I think the elvaan with the white hair behind Zak is Cleophas. .? I use to have a screenshot of this with all the names, but I can't find it anywhere. XD It's probably still stored on my PS2 somewhere. If I remember right we were like the last two people standing, too? Lol.

And to Vade and Chibi: I never managed to get a screenshot of Explorer with them. :( Sorry! I think this was before he was with them anyway.

Those ext were the worst. not because the drove up the prices of tree cuttings (i never did gardening) and not because they were gil sellers. but because they watched me die of scorpion aggro in the Crawlers nest, and then didnt raise me.... lame

One of my very best Nephilim memories ever was going to Bibiki Bay with Maliki and Vagnagun to farm, and on the way there we saw Ext... I had to take a picture because it reminded me that even gilfarmers are people too.
